Frank Hettick Jr.
Niswonger-Reynolds Funeral Home
October 20, 1937 - January 6, 2011

Frank O. Hettick, Jr. was born in Tillamook, OR on October 20, 1937 to Frank O. Hettick Sr. and Pearle S. Hettick.  Frank Jr. passed away in his sleep in his residence on Crooked River Ranch on January 6, 2011 at the age of 73.

Frank grew up and graduated High School in Tillamook but moved to Astoria for position as an appraiser for the Oregon Tax Commission.  It is there where he met and fell in love with Shirley G. Garcia.  They were married in 1965 and settled down in West Linn to raise their three daughters.  Frank and Shirley recently celebrated their 45th wedding anniversary on December 18, 2010.

Over the years, Frank had several successful life ventures including owning and operating his own business, Classic Instruments, Inc. from 1977 until he sold it in 2002.  In Frank's "semi-retired" days, he enjoyed taking his fascination with space, and fusing it together with his talent for art and created several world renowned art pieces which created quite a fan following.  So much so, that Frank built "Sky-High Galleries, Inc." on his property in Crooked River Ranch to display his favorite art pieces.  Over the past few years, Frank and Shirley traveled to many art shows across the United States where Frank's Space Art was featured and enjoyed by many.

Throughout his life, Frank was passionate about several things: Photography, Street Rods, Space Art but the greatest passion of all was his family.  Frank leaves behind his sister, Mary J. Dean of Tillamook and her four daughters; Frank's three daughters, Cindy Eck and husband, Brad of Pennsylvania, Cheryl Koevoet and husband, Jan of The Netherlands, and Debbie Hahn and her husband, Michael of Irvine, CA.  He also leaves behind nine grand-children which were his pride and joy along with his lifelong companion of 45 years, Shirley.

Frank will be truly missed by all but is now spending eternity in Heaven with our Lord God, the Master Artist.

In lieu of flowers, please donate funds to the American Heart Association.

Services will be held on Saturday, January 15 at 1:00 p.m. at Redmond Community Church, 237 NW 9th St., Redmond, OR 97756, 541-923-3023.
